Club News

February 2008

16th: Cables have extended Shaun Gray's loan for another month starting 17th Feb.

Cables have been thrown out of the Liverpool Senior Cup for fielding a player who was supposed to be serving a suspension. Allegedly, the player was sent off while playing in a Sunday league game and gave in a false name.

January 2008

31st: Gavin Lynch has left Cables to sign for Warrington Town.

18th: Karl Connolly has signed for Cefyn Druids and Sam McNutt has also left Cables. Good luck to both players for the future. Meanwhile, Shaun Gray (Andy's son) has signed for us on loan from Fleetwood.

10th: The club has signed a new player today; Rob Whyte (striker).

December 2007

27th: The club has signed Tommy Taylor from Ashton United. Tommy is a striker.

26th: The club has signed Phil Cooney.

12th: The club has signed Chris Fitzsimmons (left back/central defender) from Warrington Town.

September 2007

30th The club has signed Francis Woolvine from Bootle.

The club has this week signed James Devers, a midfielder from Marine.

June 2007

Ryan McMahon has joined Skelmersdale. I'm sure we all wish him well at his new club. Craig Bryan has returned to Cables.

February 2007

Mark Duffy has signed for Southport. Whilst this is disappointing news for Cables, I'm sure we can all accept that it was inevitable: he is far too good for the Unibond. I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Mark every success at his new club.
